Bjarne K. Lie

Bjarne joined Verdane Capital Advisors Oslo office from PaperX, of which he was co-founder and COO.

Whilst at PaperX he scaled the company from zero to sixty employees, secured $17.5 million blue-chip venture backing, and ultimately closed the company down after failing to secure further funding. Bjarne has previous fast growth entrepreneurial experience from the oil & gas sector with Fountain Oil, and was formerly a consultant at McKinsey & Company, London.

At Verdane Bjarne has been instrumental in the acquisition of several portfolios of direct investments and in building companies such as Seabed Geophysical, ResLab, Reslink and Chipcon. Bjarne was the managing partner of the firm in 2006 and 2007, and currently serves as the chief investment officer of Verdane.

Education: Bjarne holds an MBA with high distinction as a Baker Scholar from Harvard Business School (USA) and an MA in European Integration from the University of Oslo (Norway)/European University Institute Florence (Italy).
