Gunnar Rydning joined Four Seasons Venture in 1986 and working closely with Birger Nergaard he built one of Norway’s leading investment groups. In April 2010, he took a step back from his highly operationally involved Partner role to become more active in the business through executive directorships on the General Partner companies serving funds V, VI and VII. Gunnar is also Managing Director of Verdane Capital III and is working alongside Birger Nergaard with the remaining portfolio.
At Verdane Gunnar has participated in building a number of Nordic and international companies, including Creditinform, Cybercity, Eunet and Hectronic guiding them from first investment through to trade sale or IPO.
Gunnar played an active role in the initiative to establish Nordic Venture Network in 1999 and has over the years served as Chairman and board member.
Gunnar holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MSc in Business and Economics from NHH-Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration.
