History

Funds advised by Verdane Capital Advisors have a long track record of investing in small and medium-sized Nordic high-growth businesses. Since inception the firm has advised investments in more than 200 companies and more than 140 exits.
Verdane Capital Advisors (previously Four Seasons Venture) was founded by Birger Nergaard in 1985. The firm was the first venture capital company in Norway. Nergaard raised the inaugural fund in 1985 and was joined by Gunnar Rydning in 1986. The two later raised a second (1996) and third (2000) venture capital fund. Since 2003 the main focus of the firm has been on acquiring portfolios of direct investments, while investing on a highly selective basis directly into growing companies in the Nordic region.
